Jennifer Meyer is a full-time triathlon and running coach and president of TriSmart Training Systems. She is the mother of two boys ages 9 and 12 and her husband Doug is also involved in the sport.
Jennifer is a long time member of St.Louis tri club. She was the club's 1st Vice President in 2006, working in that role with the original club founder Brad Culberson
Jennifer has a bachelors degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania where she ran track and Cross country. After many years in information systems consulting she followed her passion and started TriSmart. Jennifer is a certified USA Triathlon coach, level 2 and a Level II Pose certified running coach. She has coached over 100 athletes in events ranging from 5Ks and sprint triathlons to marathons and IronMan triathlons.
In addition to the traditional aspects of coaching - planning schedules and designing training, Jennifer's coaching company offers one on one and group instruction in the techniques of triathlon - swimming, biking, running, transitions, etc. Her emphasis on correct technique has kept her clients and herself healthier and made them faster at the same time.
Also, Jennifer is a top ranked age group athlete. She has been a repeat competitor at World championship events. In September of this year she will again represent Team USA. This time in the Olympic distance race in Gold coast Australia. Jennifer will be 45 this year and has improved in the sport of triathlon every year since she started - she is working to keep that trend going for awhile yet!
